Processes Unlimited (legacy Dean Oliver) was asked to provide engineering services to produce the construction drawings / documents for the installation of a new coater to replace an existing coater in a plant in Savannah, Georgia.
This project involved relocating the existing fife web positioning unit, installing new coater supply and return asphalt pumps with variable speed drives, relocating and modifying the existing hot oil manifold, and relocating the coater in-feed rolls to accommodate the new coater requirements.

Machine Dryer Section Modification

Working closely with ABB, Kreiger and the paper machine manufacturer, our staff engineered the reconfiguration of the machine to accommodate the additional dryer cans and IR unit.

Newsprint Mill

This project consisted of developing a complete document package used to obtain financing for a 500 ton per day newsprint facility in South Texas. Services included in the project were site selection, permitting, and complete process design for the papermaking process. A conceptual plan layout and design were completed along with material, water and energy balance, detailed construction schedules, capital and operational cost estimates.

Recycle Plant Upgrade

Project Description: Recycle Plant Upgrade

This project involved a recycle plant that produces 1,000 tons per day of linerboard and corrugating medium utilizing old corrugated containers and mixed office waste. The complete recycle facility was upgraded to provide increased production and improved pulp quality. The upgrades included the resizing of process pumps, piping systems, and stock storage chests. System modifications included pulper rotor and drive modifications, and the addition of detrashing, screening, cleaning and refining equipment. All modifications were made with a minimum interruption to production.
